Festival Place : Pera Fine Arts High School/ Beyoglu
Aim of the festival : As Private Pera Fine Arts High School, we congregated many art-lover young people that come from the different cities of our country who are interested in music in the 1st and 2nd and 3rd and 4th Pera Piano Festival throughout Turkey. The first Piano Festival was performed in May 2006 and the second in May 2007, the third in May 2008 and the fourth in May 2009 . This year we want to perform the 5th of the Piano Festival which we traditionally organize with Workshops, Seminars and Competitions. For this reason, by gathering the young people in the music platform with “Pera 5th Piano Festival, we aim to:
- Congregate the future contemporary artist nominees who follow Atatürk’s Principles and Revolutions.
- Young people’s interaction with each other
- Bring in fraternity, friendship, love of art and suchlike positive emotions and behaviors through the universality of music.
- Young people share the artistic experiences with their coevals.
- Increase young people’s love and interest towards the classical music.
- Consolidate the ability to express themselves with the piano which is a polyphonic instrument.
- Give young people opportunity to recognize the different piano techniques.
- Let the young people represent themselves and, as occasion may require, our country in national and international music platforms.
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Festival categories will be between the ages of 6-12, 13-17 and 18-21.
- The applications will be realized between 01 February – 14 March 2010.
- The ones who want to attend, should post or deliver by hand the documents below to the festival committee.
- Application form
- 2 snapshot photographs
- A copy of Identification Card
- The notes of the works which will be played.
